Whitelist of Open Access Journals in Language Studies (2015-present)
Several backlists of predatory journals, conferences and publishers are available, but I want to maintain a whitelist of OA journals for those who are interested in learning more about language studies. Past Initiatives
Community English Club (2010-2014)
CEC is a student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to use English, to acquire 21st century skills, and to develop youth leadership.
I initiated the club and mentored students from 2010-2014, but I am not much involved now. However, the initiative is still going on. I gave a talk about the initiative in 2012 and presented a poster in 2016 and published an article about it recently.
Brave Girls (2012- AEIF Winner 2016)
‘Brave Girls’ is designed to empower young women & school girls through leadership development, critical thinking, 21st century skills, and civic engagement so that they can actively contribute to social issues and fight for women’s rights and gender equality in their communities.
PBLL Symposium (2016-2017)
Project Based Language Learning Symposium started from a professional meeting for faculty and grew into a university-wide and national symposium.
